 Hello everybody,

Included are some early in progress pics of the figure I'm now working on. It's an old Pegaso figure from their Sparta vs Athenes set. The age became appearant because of the cleaning work needed and a lot of pitting on the figure. It makes me realize how spoilt we are now. As always all is painted with acrylics and inks. I'll post some more updates as soon as I have done some more work on it. As always I would love to hear your comments on this figure.

Cheers,

Gino

 Hi gino!

It's a pleasure to have a master like you on this site, showing us your work!
I like so much your paintwork, especially the WW2 period figures'.

The start of this figure is very good, I really like the bronze effects. did you achieve it by acrilycs or you used Inks?

thanks for sharing!

bye!

 Hello Gabriele,

I'm not a master by far. There are many people out there who are much much better then me. I'm having fun painting these little soldiers and that's what I find important.

I used acrylic paints from Vallejo for the helmet. Base was english Uniform + Gloss Black. For highlighting I added Golden brown to the basecolour, for shading I used a mix of gloss and matt black. For outlining the details I mixed matt black with black ink. Adding the ink to the acrylic makes the paint better flow. To finnish I added a thin coat of satin varnish. That's it.

Ciao,

Gino

 Hello Stefano,

No both my parents are Belgian. Before I was born my father worked some time in Italy, so maybe that's why he called me "Gino". Since a year or two I know my familyname is "tits" in Italian. Never knew I have such a "hot" name. In Dutch it means "dolls".

Hi Sharpshooter,

I'm very thankfull you guys will have me here. Hopefully one day we can all meet in real live.

Take care,

Gino
